Save Me From Myself!

“The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.”  Proverbs 18:10

During my quite time I read this verse and I immediately felt this sense of peace in the fact that God is my defender. Then the Holy Spirit prompted me to think deeper, what is He protecting me from? All the obvious answers came to mind; harm, worldly destructive things, my enemies, and myself.

MYSELF?

Yes, you read me right. Surely I wouldn’t do my own self harm. I’m a smart gal, I know what can hurt me. OR do I? Then, the Holy Spirit reminded me of this verse.

Not Adele, but close (not really close but it felt like a good intro).

As this is my first post, I feel it would be good to tell y’all a little bit about myself.

My name is Kassie. I’m a good ole southern girl, born and raised in the boot aka Louisiana. I’m a fan of sports, outdoors, good food, and all things crafty (but I’m not so crafty…isn’t it ironic.. I still try though).  About 8 years ago this dude was stalking me on the campus of ULMonroe (creepy but true) and later charmed me with his out of sight personality. Three years later that creepy stud became mine forever.
